If you want to temporarily paint your whole body or a part you can buy different body paints. However, you can choose to manufacture it yourself. Below is how to create temporary body paint.
Instructions
- Determine how you will use the paint. For example, if you paint the faces of the children or your body for a sporting event or as part of a costume. This is important when deciding what type of paint you will use.
- Decide what type of paint you want to prepare. There are several safe recipes (examples below). Some are strictly decorative in nature, while others contain products that soften the skin.
- Decide what color you want to prepare the paint. Then select any of the following methods to prepare yours.
- Mix with nontoxic tempera hand soap natural shampoo or until desired color.
- Mix one part of fat to two parts cornstarch. Incorporates well and add food coloring (liquid or powder for cakes) of a drop until the desired color.
- Mix two parts of cornstarch with one part natural skin lotion, to create a creamy Face temporary body paint. Add water to lighten, if necessary, adding food coloring you wants.
- Mixing corn syrup sufficient to create a cocoa brown paint which is also edible.
- Nontoxic powder mixture and henna washable with water to create a picture of almost any consistency. While the colors are limited to black or reddish brown, the results are very nice.
- Mix one part corn syrup with four parts powdered sugar, plus the amount of dye you need to get the desired tone. Add a splash of some abstract, like maple, almond or cinnamon to create an edible paint.
- Save paints in containers until ready for use. For safety, edible paints additives should be stored in the refrigerator.
- Strip homemade paints after 30 days.
Tips and Warnings
When possible, use only natural products. Apply paint with brushes or hands, as desired. Choose one dyes that are completely washable, so no residual color. Do not apply this paint in the eyes or near them to get temporary body paint successful.
